P.S. And I'm sorry I didn't give you credit when I posted the Gargoyle #51 cover in my post on Richard Peabody. You know how much I love your work, I hope.

Thanks, Patricia, knowing "Crad" was a terrific experience. I hope I helped other people learn about him.

But it was not who blogged about "O Lucky Man" unless my Aricept isn't working today. However, I was at the theater in Manhattan the day "O Lucky Man" premiered; it was, I recall, at either Cinema I or II or the next door Baronet or Coronet on the same block on Third Avenue around East 60th St, and the theater was so packed even though we'd gotten there early that my girlfirend and I had to sit one behind the other rather than next to each other. I loved Lindsay Anderson since seeing "If..." -- which was one of *my* teenage obsessions.

omigod. I did a major double-take when I read that headline for this post. I had no idea that anyone outside of Toronto, let alone outside Canada, knew about Crad Kilodney.

He was definitely a cult figure in the early 80s for my crowd. I can still remember the thrill of going to downtown Toronto with my then boyfriend when I was 15 so the boyfriend could buy some of Crad's work. If memory serves me correctly, he had a sign next to him that read: "Really Bad Literature".

And you knew him? Wow. First 'O Lucky Man' and now this. How are you connecting with my obscure teenage interests?
