So the man is indeed appreciated here - or least he was back in 1910 when the school was built. It&#039;s a truly stunning building.</description>

Or residents of Chicago&#039;s northwest side who know Schurz from the enormous high school named after him, once the showpiece of the Chicago Public School System, now an overcrowded, underfunded urban high school.</description>
