The documentary didn't mention that they were considering Tyce Diorio as an UNDERSTUDY - the same thing they did to Jessica Lee Goldyn during the whole process. Unless you are completely blind, Tyce and Jessica were the most talented dancers in the entire film. Tyce probably reacted that way because of the way he was treated. The editing of the film left that out and presented him as an egotistical and disobedient rebel. Jessica was finally offered her role after the entire process all the time believing that she was not even in the running. They stretched out the audition for a year to film a movie. This was not original in any way. Everything came from Michael Bennett from the original tapes to the concept. If you were Tyce and already had a successful career in show business since you were 14 dancing with and choreographing for many incredibly famous people you might have reacted the same way. Tyce, Jason Tam, Rachelle Rak, and Jessica were the most talented people in the entire film and three of them were either insulted or rejected. They purposefully edited the film to make him look bad. I thought he was crazy after I saw it and thought that his agent had probably dumped him. However, now that he is an Emmy award winning choreographer that's not likely to happen.

The glaring, OBVIOUS omissions in 'Every Little Step' are not only indicative of a much more UNSAVORY story, but barely scratch the surface of what REALLY went down in the world of the original 'A Chorus Line.'

It has unfortunately come to pass that the executive producer of this film John Breglio, is without a doubt, (next to George W. Bush) THE Anti-Christ incarnate! Still unknown to many, (not for long) this selfish, greedy bastard helped spearhead what will go down in history as the most underhanded tactics ever thrust upon the cast of a budding Broadway show. I'm of course speaking of the ORIGINAL cast members of 'A Chorus Line.' You could say, it was one of the 1st times that Broadway truly went 'Corporate.'

NEVER in the history of New York Theatre had a cast of hard working, loyal and passionate artists ever been SO screwed over, psychologically, monetarily & emotionally, than by John Breglio, Michael Bennett, and their other now deceased co-horts.

It was the mid-seventies, New York City was in default, and Broadway theater was slowly becoming a dying breed. It apparently didn't matter that 'A Chorus Line' was a 'Love Letter' to the Broadway chorus. To John Breglio and the other producers they were expendable, and not worth cutting-in to an honorable degree. Not to mention their 'banishment' from the opening night of the ludicrous Broadway Revival. Absolutely reprehensible!

People talk about the 'Chorus Line Curse.' It is a mis-assumption that this curse applies to the actors of 'A Chorus Line.' On the contrary, the producers of 'Every Little Step' are already slowly, methodically, bearing the brunt of their greed and selfishness. What goes around comes around, make NO mistake!

It's better to be the writer. You only use your mind to produce the work; it would be too much for most writers to have one's body be part of the work as well.
