If the endless obsession with Toni Bentley weren't enough, the New York Times, with today's Sunday edition, has demonstrated that it is the gayest newspaper in the United States. Gayer even than the San Francisco Chronicle.
"Growing Up with Mom & Mom" -- today's NYT Magazine cover story.
"The O'Reilly Factor for Lesbians" by Frank Rich

"U.S. Anglican Leader Says Gay Union Ban Unlikely"
"What's So Gay About American Music?" -- The silliest article thus far, with an even sillier lede: "Musicologists now seem to agree that Handel was gay. So, it is thought, was Schubert. About Tchaikovsky there is no doubt: definitely gay, along with Britten, Copland and many other major composers and musicians." Because we all know that musicology is the study of gayness in music, rather than the study of music itself.
Clearly, the Times wants to outgay all other leading newspapers. In the name of journalistic decency, I call upon the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Sun-Times to put the Gray Lady in its proper place. A newspaper that cannot print "ass-fucking" on its pages has no business being so gay.
