So Much for the 1984 Ad

One thing that the Apple geeks aren't mentioning about the Intel chip use is something that I see as pretty important. If you were thinking of bolting from PC to Mac because of the DRM invasiveness, Apple is no longer a sanctuary. This is a bad move in more ways than one.

I wound up having a lot more to say about this whole thing than I thought I would. But, I have to wonder exactly what Apple's position on this issue will be. On the one hand, they sell an awful lot of DVD burners. On the other, the copy-protection involved in the whole iTunes/iPod thing is pretty intense. Mostly, I'm just confused.

As far as I can tell the jury is still out. I seriously doubt they will jump on the "trusted computing" bandwagon though.

but isn't apple already on the DRM bandwagon with the iTunes store, etc?
