So, it's okay for Lyn to bash a family for being white now? I see the BS, but it's not coming from Forbes. I would believe it to be proper to address the issues and leave the personal attacks out of the blogs. Even the writer of the article committed this by a personal attack of the Congressman. This is the lowest form of debate - in fact it is not debate, it show the ignorance of the writer.

So, let's see. Your arguements include:
The "First Continental Congress" was not the first continental congress.
The bibles Forbes says were ordered were actually ordered, but the order was then cancelled.
Adams thought we should celebrate with acts...to God, like Forbes says, but also other things.

Am I missing your point here? All the things Forbes mentions show that these founders thought God was an important part of our country. So what if Adams thinks fireworks are cool, too?

As for Penn, he's right on with what the US was all about. You can worship the creator any way you like, anywhere you like, and, as long as you are otherwise a law abiding person, go for it. Nobody is talking about forcing you into a church any more than Black History Month forces me to wear a Dashiki. These special "Months" and "Weeks" are all about remembering who our neighbors and predecessors are and learning more about them and our own history. Peace.

I must question who the real revisionist is here.

And what tolerant and loving language is used when speaking of another American (Congressman Forbes) who is simply exercising his right to free speech and his freedom of religion. (Blog & comments)

Checkout my blog: GOD SHED HIS GRACE ON THEE and listen to Congressman Forbes as he speaks on the House Floor. God Bless him!

And may God bless you as well!

Wow Lyn and Erin - talked about biased judgement and attacking with your words. At least Rep. Forbes doesn't attack anyone like you do. Apparently you both support his view for freedom of speech.

I would rather consume a plate of warm cow dung than have sexual relations with any member of the Forbes family.

whooo, Nelly! that photo of the Forbes family, man they are white, I mean all white from head to toe. There's no bullshit ON them, just in them.

The American people are stupider than you think. I cite WBush as example, Iraq War ($10 million per hour), the capacity to confuse Sadham Hussein with Osama Bin Laden, New Yorkers unconcerned with Building #11, universal health care in Canada. Most Americans are very religious and would support Forbes' absurdity. Most Americans are stupid. Ever see any other country's citizenry adorn their yards with their country's flag? To quote Will Smith, damn.
