I became aware of the "Peep Diaries" when it was listed by Oprah's magazine as one of the top 25 books to read this summer. When I checked the peep website, my first reaction was this was a collection of notions from Mr. Niedzviecki completely unsupported by any rigorous research. Around minute 45 Hal basically cops to that. The thesis behind the whole enterprise (the book, the documentary, the website)is undermined by Niedzviecki insistence on generalizing from his own experience. Seems to be the season (Chris Anderson) of lazy polemics. Thanks for challenging Hal. I often think life is too short but I am glad I listened.
