During the course of my BEA journalism, I encountered the large and appealing figure of Clifford the Big Red Dog. Since I was feeling that this year’s BookExpo America simply wasn’t cutting it, I attempted to put forth some questions to him and get his thoughts on the subject. My 3-year-old sometimes watches the hypothetically educational Clifford on YouTube… we sat through a double-episode, recently, titled (embarrassingly) “Embarassing Moments”. Sic. Now, *Super Chicken* (I’ve heard the narrator use the phrase “well-nigh impervious” on that classy cartoon) will teach you things; Clifford’s a fraud.
