There are apparently a total of four explosions: three on trains, one on a double-decker bus. First attack: 8:51, 7 people dead. Second attack: 8:56, 21 dead. Third explosion: 5 dead. Bus explosion: fatalities, unknown. This news report says 40.

By way of comparison, I should also point out that last year, there was a Moscow subway explosion that killed 39 people. But it didn’t receive nearly this amount of coverage.
