Kevin Sampsell has a helpful list of tips on how an author should attend a reading. It’s worth the read alone for a list of the crazed gifts that fans have unloaded on poor David Sedaris.

    My favorite signing event involved a man who didn’t like crowds because he was afraid of demons.

    You know that loud, obnoxious guy that shows up at a lot of signings and scares the hell out of the other customers? He saved my butt that day by barging in.
