I can’t tell you how many hours I lost in my bedroom fingerpicking on my guitar because of Jerry Reed. What a loss.

    As a kid in the ’70s I loved his song “Amos Moses”.

    “Now everyone blamed his old man
    For making him mean as a snake
    When Amos Moses was a boy
    His daddy would use him for alligator bait
    Tie a rope around his neck and throw him in the swamp”
