Wow, who’d a thunk there was so much to know about finches? We had some good old American finches nesting on our front door this spring, they were so cute. I did notice that when the mom or dad saw me peeking at the babies they’d call out a warning and the kids would tuck down deep into the nest. A couple of times when the parents weren’t around I got some great pics because the fledglings didn’t know any better and sat up tall just staring at me.
